Laughlin, Kingman, Oatman, Las Vegas, and Lake Havasu City are close by. They add incredible diversity and fun to life in Mohave County. Imagine camping in a marvelous state park admiring mountains and enjoying cool air for lunch, then waterskiing on Lake Mohave in the afternoon. How about a day golfing with visiting family members or friends, and then driving to Las Vegas to a championship boxing match for the night? Imaging a day of exploring Christmas Tree Pass on your ATV in the desert and spying ancient petroglyphs with your kids and then a short drive to Oatman to see an old gold mine or a staged gunfight, and pet some wild burros!

  • And we’re 4 hours to Los Angeles and Southern California via I-40, 3 hours to Sedona and the Grand Canyon, and under 3 to Phoenix and Flagstaff! 'Easy for a fabulous 3-day or holiday weekend.'

Gaming, entertainment, an indoor outlet mall, and restaurants under 5 miles from Valley View’s service area

Laughlin

Laughlin is considered to be a part of our community and service area, but is listed in this section of our Online Job Tour because its focus is on being a gaming playground for friends, families, and global tourists visiting the Tri-State area. Just across the Colorado River, Laughlin is a wonderful place to play and for entertainment and fun. There are many chain restaurants in the casinos, such as Outback Steakhouse and Joe’s Crab Shack, to complement many choices. The “bargain deals” are the inexpensive buffets offered by casinos, much like rooms as cheap as $25 per night as enticements to visit them!

When it’s 90 degrees in Fort Mohave it’s 65 here

Kingman

Our County Seat, with the Hualapai (pronounced “walla – pie”) Mountains and 8,000’ elevations, offers a unique contrast to our life in the Mohave Valley Mesa. Cool summer nights, snow in winter, camping, a rustic resort, and plentiful wildlife from mule deer to elk – it’s fabulous to have this amazing addition to living here.

An historic mining town, wild burros in the streets, and a man doing a great thing for kids

Oatman

A charming former gold-mining town that is a “must see,” fun-filled tourist spot in a remote part of Mohave County. Wild burros in the streets to unique craft stores and saloons, the towns boasts a famous high-noon gunfight, and make sure to make the trip to a real gold mine. Family and friends will love a fun-filled day in Oatman.

The charming city in far south Mohave County known for the London Bridge

Lake Havasu City

Our southern neighbor is currently the largest city in Mohave County, but we are growing faster. It is also a vacation and Spring Break spot for many southern Californians and south westerners. The famous London Bridge was brought over, and then reassembled here. There are upscale shops with wine-tastings, a microbrewery, a marina, golf, and more here.

A small town on Historic Route 66 and I-40 and the “Gateway to California”

Needles, California

We’re known as the “Tri-State” region due to the confluence of states lines of California, Nevada, and Arizona. In fact, Needles is also just across the Colorado River on the southern side of our service area. The “Needles Bridge” in Valley View’s southern service area crosses the Colorado River, and there is a scenic “back way drive” to Needles from the casinos of Laughlin through the desert and the Mohave Indian Reservation (and Avi Casino and Resort). Access to Interstate 40 and Lake Havasu City are through Needles.

Today, Needles is a very small town that is economically challenged due to the high costs and taxation of California vs. Arizona and Nevada. However, due to available land and rail ports here, featured in Growth Study are emerging alternative energy speculation – and the Avi Resort is interested in a possible expansion into Needles.

90 minutes to the ‘Vegas Strip and McCarran International Airport

Las Vegas

Las Vegas is globally known for having world class entertainment, the most exclusive shopping, and the famous “Las Vegas Strip.” We think its location from us is just right – 90 minutes. That’s close enough to go to a show or for a shopping trip for the afternoon and an easy drive to McCarran International Airport to pick up your visiting friends and family, who envy your life here in our little paradise!

Mandalay Bay Casino and Resort in Las Vegas, and Historic Rt. 66, which runs through our region

Valley View Medical Center is located in “the Mesa” – encircled by mountain ranges,
and close by to all these awesome places. Come join us!

Summary:

Valley View Medical Center is located in unincorporated Fort Mohave in the Mohave Mesa, bordering Bullhead City and the Bullhead Parkway’s southern exit, at Mohave Community College. This places us under 5 minutes to Laughlin’s Casino Drive, and 30 minutes to Kingman. Needles and Oatman are also about 30 minutes from us – Oatman to our east and Needles is south.
